Woven Garden

Xinyi Jing is an interior designer who focuses on the relationship between space and human and nature. Her designs not only pursue aesthetics, but also focus on promoting spiritual healing through space. To further develop her design concept, she studied for a master’s degree in interior design in Royal College of Art.

In her project “Woven Garden”, she explored the healing potential of weaving as a handicraft and dynamic meditation. Faced with an increasing number of people suffering from mental illness, she raised the design question: How can the therapy of weaving inspire a new spatial experience? And by incorporating the elements of weaving into the design, she created a community space for relaxation and meditation.
