‘Silent Respite’

How can we preserve the purity of our inner truths, even as the foreign tongues we speak reshape the contours of our identity?

Silent Respite is a haven of serenity crafted with love for bilingual individuals yearning for peace and self-discovery. In this unique sanctuary, we honor the incredible mental journey and the overwhelming challenge of navigating multiple languages daily. Silent Respite is where the chaos of language barriers melts away, creating a space for your soul to breathe, reflect, and find its true voice amidst the stillness.

During the intense journey of completing ‘Silent Respite’ at the RCA, I delved deep into exploring the multifaceted nature of different types of identities with the crucial question: Who am I? This project pushed the boundaries of my understanding, revealing how my sense of self shifts between languages and cultures. It challenges me to confront the complexities of navigating my identity as a designer and how to transform this cultural duality into a powerful tool for innovative design.
